There are many different forms of holistic medicine today, and Reiki is one that focuses purely on the energy of the body that not only gives life but also protects the body from disease when it is strong. When the life force is flowing freely and abundantly, the body is also stronger and the mind and emotions are in balance. People with a more powerful life force are better able to focus, be healthy, and find happiness. On the other hand, if the life force is weak, which can happen for a variety of reasons, the individual will be more prone to not only physical ailments but also emotional and mental turmoil as well.
Changes in mood are very much associated with anxiety and depression. A number of studies have demonstrated overall mood benefits with Reiki. The benefits are specific to those with negative mood. The studies showed that once your mood improves, the improvements are accompanied by reduced anxiety. Not only does your anxiety reduce, you can also see significant decrease in depression, anger, and confusion. Your positive energy increases and the loss of vigour that comes with depression also improves.
Reiki can also strengthen and heal personal relationships. Because Reiki enhances your capability to love, it can open you up to the people around you and help your relationships grow. By improving your capacity for empathy, Reiki allows you to connect with people on a deeper level.
Fear is often a strong emotion, but it is ultimately an illusion, albeit a powerful one. Love, however, is real. And, Reiki helps us reconnect to ourselves — to Love.
So when we use Reiki to clear out the energetic debris in our chakras and reconnect to our self-love, as well as our love for others, we become aware of the destructive patterns we’ve been holding onto. That's when we can start to learn how to break them.
